The mission of the Topanga Watershed Committee is to promote a voluntary, action-based community educational forum Regarding all aspects of watershed ecology and watershed management; help improve public safety and protect exciting life, infrastructure, and property from flood hazards; provide a forum to solicit and integrate the needs and concerns of the community into existing and future watershed management plans; preserve, protect and restore the ecological health of Topanga Creek, its tributaries, and the surrounding environment which constitutes the Topanga Watershed.

The Topanga Watershed Committee is open to all interested stakeholders and is organized according to CRMP, in which all participants have an equal voice in the process and decisions are made by consensus.

The mission of the Topanga Watershed Committee is to refine and develop a consensus-based, voluntary watershed management plan which effectively minimizes negative impacts of the watershed. The Watershed committee represents all stakeholders in the watershed and is open to all interested citizens. Organized according to a coordinated Resource Management Plan (CRMP), all participants have an equal voice in the process and decisions are made by consensus.

The committee provides a forum to solicit and integrate the needs and concerns of the community into existing and future watershed management plans; preserved, protect, and restore the ecological health of Topanga Creek, its tributaries, and the surrounding environment which constitutes the Topanga Watershed, Topanga Beach, and the Santa Monica Bay.

The Committee offers a community-based educational forum regarding all aspects of watershed ecology and watershed management, and is intended to help improve public safety and protect existing life, infrastructure, and property from flood hazards.

The Watershed Management Plan provides voluntary implementation guidelines for property owners that will not only protect the property from flood or other hazards, but also protect the integrity of the watershed and its many endangered species.

The mission of the Topanga Watershed Committee is to develop a consensus based, voluntary, Coordinated Resource Management Plan (CRMP), that integrates the needs and concerns of the community addressing all aspects of watershed ecology and watershed management.

Through educational programs, the committee will provide a forum for communication with citizens and public agencies to improve public safety and protect existing life, infrastructure and property; and to restore the ecological health to Topanga Creek, its tributaries and surrounding environment which constitutes the Topanga Watershed, including Topanga Beach, Topanga State Park and the Santa Monica Bay.

The Topanga Watershed Committee represents all stakeholders in the watershed and is open to all interested citizens who desire to demonstrate respect for our ecosystem which we are a part of.

The mission of the Topanga Watershed Committee is to identify strategies for living sustainably within our watershed, including:

  • The development of a consensus based, voluntary, Coordinated Resource Management Plan (CRMP) that integrates the needs and concerns of the community addressing all aspects of watershed ecology and watershed management.

  • Educational programs that provide a forum for communication with citizens and public agencies to improve public safety and protect existing life, infrastructure and property.

  • Restoration of the ecological health of Topanga Creek, its tributaries and surrounding environment which constitutes the Topanga Watershed, including Topanga Beach, Topanga State Park and the Santa Monica Bay.

The Topanga Watershed Committee represents all stakeholders in the watershed and is open to all interested citizens who desire to demonstrate respect for our ecosystem of which we are a part.
